Class Structure

All Tracks
Students meet one evening per week beginning in September and ending mid-May.

Worship
Each night is three hours in length. The evening includes a time of worship. Taking this time corporately as a community is a core value of School of Ministry. It helps us transition from our busy days and prepares our hearts to receive what the Lord wants to impart for the evening.

Teaching
SOM faculty are passionate about their subjects, skilled in their teaching and educated in Scripture. They model a variety of experiences for students to glean from and exemplify a solid love for Jesus. This time of interactive teaching allows students to learn in an experiential environment that is safe for questions and discussion.

Integration
Periodically students have what is called Integration Night. Taking time to process recent teachings and to learn from each other is important. These nights hold flexible agendas and are used for open classroom discussion, Bible overview, prayer and small group time.

Requirements
As an SOM student you are required to participate in the entire SOM experience which includes: regular attendance, homework assignments, and mentoring.

Students are also expected to help in forming a safe and vital community of grace, mutual care & respect in class. Sensitive conversations will be heard in love and held in confidentiality as we are conformed to Christ’s image.
