Rev. Tom Brashears has been an ordained Lutheran pastor for 26 years and has been a church janitor, youth worker, church staff member, assistant pastor, mission developer, senior pastor, and has worked with numerous employees and volunteers throughout his ministry. His educational background includes undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, Seminary at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California, and a Master’s of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University. His continued education has been at NTL in Bethel, Maine, Stanford Business School, and USC. His passion is to help people in ministry acquire the skills for a life of service to Christ that are beyond theology and Biblical studies (the fun stuff). Says he, “The actual work of management in a church is shocking to most of us who just want to share Jesus and spread the Gospel. But, once some basics steps are mastered, people are able to spend less time on the harder parts (management) and more time on what they love.”

Ron Keller has been full time ministry for 39 years. He has an undergraduate degree in Business and Advertising, an M.A. in Theology and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. He is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor. He is a member of five national counseling organizations. In addition to his consultant work, Ron has a private youth, marriage, family and career counseling practice where he specializes in Temperament Counseling. He provides counseling and training for leaders in corporate and church organizations. For more than 10 years, Ron has been one of the main motivational research speakers and workshop leaders at the annual National Christian Counselors Association conference for international counseling leaders. He and/or his wife Nancy, lead marriage, pre-marriage and blended family seminars. They work with church staffs from all denominations and leaders from all professions. I spent my Junior year at the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, England. I then spent two years working at Trinity Lutheran Church, San Pedro, California in their Project Servant Program. I graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota May 30, 1882. During my second year of seminary I spent half the year at St. John's Theological College in Bramcote, Nottingham, England. After being ordained August 8, 1982, I have served in rural parishes for eight years and it will soon be twelve years in urban ministry.

Dr. Steve Turnball is serving as senior pastor at First Lutheran Church. He first came on staff as the teaching pastor in February, 2004 and became the senior pastor in November, 2007. Helping to lead and teach a community of Christians is his vocation – in the ancient sense of that word. He's a graduate of the College of Wooster (Chemistry and German, 2001), Luther Seminary (M. Div., 2001), and Duke University (Ph.D. in New Testament, 2007), but hopes God never stops teaching him more about life with Him.
Dr. Craig Van Gelder
Craig Van Gelder serves as tenured professor of congregational mission at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, having taken this position in 1998 following ten years as professor of domestic missiology at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. He was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 1984 and the Christian Reformed Church in 1990. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University in 1970, Van Gelder received his master of divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS in 1978. He received his Ph.D. degree in missions from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in 1982, and his Ph.D. in administration in urban affairs from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1985.
